Jayawantrao Sawant College of Commerce and Science was established in 2018. It is one of the most distinguished Commerce Colleges in Pune, affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) located in the heart of the Pune city. At present the College provides education up to B.Com and B. Sc. Level. The strength of the students is approximately 1000. Various optional and special subjects in Commerce curricula are taught in the college. The College has a team of devoted and qualified staff.
The goal of Commerce department is to help the students for their overall holistic development by offering them learning opportunities through Academic and other co-curricular activities. Students are always motivated to participate, lead and conduct various departmental activities under Commerce Horizon.
The following degree courses (Affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University) are conducted
1. Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com)
2. A student can specialize in any one of the following Two subjects : a)Banking & Finance, b)Cost & Works Accounting
Intake capacity - 120.
Medium of instructions - The medium of courses is English.
Curriculum - The University has revised the syllabus for B.Com courses in June 2019 and introduced Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for B.Com.
